Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Beefly app and website (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Beefly is a personal vocabulary app. You can save words, phrases, and idioms and keep a translation beside them. Features may change, and we may add, remove, or pause parts of the service. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Accounts
You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful
- Upload content you do not have the right to use
- Interfere with the service or other people’s use of it
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data without permission
- Scrape, copy, or overload the service, except where the law allows
- Reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows
Our content
The app, website, name, logo, software, and dictionary material belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer that ownership to you. You may use the service for your own personal vocabulary study.
Third-party services
Sign-in and language features may rely on other companies. Their terms and privacy policies apply to those services. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Translations, definitions, and pronunciation are study aids. They may be incomplete or wrong, and they are not professional, legal, medical, or educational advice.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
Ending use
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if we must do so for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the service.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. If you keep using the service after an update, you accept the updated terms. The current version is published at https://beefly.app/terms-of-use.
